Event Carbon Calculator
In keeping with our “Living a Cleaner Dream” environmental policy and being concerned about the impact that events have toward climate change, we recognised the opportunity to provide a solution for our clients to support the environment. The Esplanade Hotel Fremantle - by Rydges commissioned the Carbon Reduction Institute to provide a calculation tool to assist in calculating the emissions impact of our client’s event packages.
The goal of the calculator is to provide a carbon footprint calculation for your next event. This tool will enable our clients to choose a carbon neutral option when utilising the Hotel as an event venue.
Carbon neutrality is a process whereby an entity measures their greenhouse gas emissions, and offsets these emissions through the purchase of carbon credits. A carbon credit represents the reduction of 1 tonne of greenhouse gas emissions from the atmosphere. Hence, the action of purchasing carbon credits offsets the climate change damage caused by the activity being measured.
