The Esplanade Hotel Fremantle is the first hotel in WA to be declared carbon neutral.
The Esplanade Hotel Fremantle realises that climate change and greenhouse emissions present pressing global challenges that will only be successfully resolved if the majority of individuals and businesses get serious about reducing their damaging carbon footprint.
The Hotel's carbon-neutral status has been achieved by securing 9.6ha of rainforest in Ecuador through Rainforest Rescue to offset the Hotel's remaining carbon emissions.

November 2007 has also seen the Esplanade Hotel Fremantle presented with the inaugral Australian Hotels Association "Environmental Initiative Award'. Read more.
